●1979年に公開された同名映画のサントラ盤。収録曲の殆どは映画と同じ音源を使用しているので、これはCDよりも先にビデオで観る事を奨めます!(ビデオは80年代にコロムビアから、90年代にBMGからリリースされていましたが、両者共に画質や日本語字幕が大分異なっています。2004年7月にはDVDも発売)。THE WHOのファンならずとも、ロックが好きな方には是非一度は見聞きしてもらいたい作品です。
　収録曲のうち、4「I Can See For Miles」はヴォーカルが中央ではなく左右に振られた別ミックスで収録。5「Magic Bus」はCDには"Remix Stereo Version"と表記されていますが、実際にはモノラルのシングル・ヴァージョンで収録。11「A Quick One,While He's Away」は後にThe Rolling StonesのCD及びDVD『』にも収録されましたが、ここでは別ミックスで収録。
